Robert Loggia has passed away, according to his wife Audrey. He was 85 years old.

Loggia, an Oscar-nominated actor, has appeared in some of the most important and well known films of cinema, including Scarface, Big, Jagged Edge, and more. But it was his roles in Lost Highway, “Murder, She Wrote”, “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”, “The Outer Limits”, and Independence Day that many horror and thriller fans knew him from.

Loggia began acting in the early 50’s and never really stopped, working diligently and passionately until his passing. According to IMDb, there are still three movies yet to be released that feature him.

At 85, Loggia lived a long, rich life full of accomplishment and acclaim. While we are sad to hear of his passing, we thank him for all that he offered the entertainment industry over the years.

Brooke McCarter den man noch aus The Lost Boys kennt ist zwei Tage vor Heilig Abend 2015 an einer seltenen Stoffwechselerkrankung gestorben. Er wurde nur 52 Jahre alt.

Michel Galabru ist heute im Alter von 93 Jahren verstorben :( Der sympathische und beliebte Schauspieler aus Frankreich wurde vor allem durch die Gendarme Filme mit Louis de Funes bekannt.

R.I.P. Angus Scrimm, the “Tall Man”, Dies at 89

Last year saw the passing of some of horror’s most iconic figures, such as Christopher Lee and Wes Craven. Now 2016 opens with the passing of another icon, the esteemed and mysterious Angus Scrimm. Perhaps best known for his portrayal as the “Tall Man” in Phantasm, Scrimm’s towering height and gaunt figure helped him create a terrifying villain, one that would become one of horror’s most recognizable figures.

Phantasm director Don Coscarelli beautifully wrote, “Angus Scrimm passed away peacefully tonight surrounded by his friends and loved ones. He was 89 years old. His performance as the Tall Man is a towering achievement in horror film history. He was the last in a long line of classic horror movie stars. Angus was a terrific actor and an even better friend. He will be missed.”

Scrimm will appear in Coscarelli’s fifth Phantasm film, which bears the subtitle Ravager. The film will be released later this year. Additionally, J.J. Abrams is hard at work creating a 4K restoration of the original Phantasm.

You lived a long, wonderful life, Mr. Scrimm. Thank you for everything. I hope you rest in peace.

Er war Apollo Creed und dann Rockys Trainer in den Rocky Filmen. Er starb am 25.02.2016 im Alter von 78 Jahren. Burton boxte in den 50er was ich nie wusste und spielte in vielen Filmen und TV-Serien mit.
